Persib yang Terakhir
Persib Bandung menjadi klub profesional terakhir yang ia perkuat sebelum akhirnya memutuskan untuk mengakhiri karirnya sebagai pesepakbola.
Karirnya sendiri bersama dengan Persib tak begitu menyenangkan, usai dirinya gagal memberikan penampilan yang impresif. Kontraknya dengan Maung Bandung pun harus terhenti hanya setengah musim.
Well, in football, they always say that your body tells you when it is time to stop playing and to focus on a new chapter in your life. For me, that time is now! It is a decision I have been wrestling with for some time now. It’s a difficult decision to take, but, together with my family, I have now decided to call it a day. Sad, but there you are! I have been fortunate enough to have had a wonderfully exciting career, playing for some great clubs and, of course, for England. Memories that I will treasure forever. I’ve been particularly fortunate to have had a great relationship with the fans over the years especially those at West Ham. I have played with some fabulous players and made some great friends. So, in parting, I would like to thank the clubs, their management, players, coaches, medical staff and, of course, the fans, who have all contributed so much to my career. A special thank you also goes to my family. As for the next chapter in my life, well I’ll be making an announcement about that in the near future. So keep tuned in!!
